Projects We've Tackled
Here, at FAJ Junk Removal, we take deep pride in our work. Below are some of the projects we have tackled for of our clients.
John's Crawlspace
While preparing to sell his multiunit rental space, John realized the crawlspace had become a dumping ground for unwanted tenant items, construction materials, and general waste over the years. Finding the small space difficult to navigate and the task of cleaning out the space daunting, John contacted FAJ. FAJ was able to reuse, donate, and recycle 75% of the unit. About 25% of the unit was delivered to the scrap steel facility, 25% was e-waste which was properly recycled at an e-waste facility, and 25% were reusable goods which were donated.
Paul's Storage Unit
After Paul's mom passed, he was tasked with clearing out her storage unit. Overwhelmed with how much had accumulated there over the years, he contacted FAJ to help him. Many of the things in storage were non-sentimental, but Paul still didn't want his mothers things to go to the landfill. FAJ sorted through the collection and was able to donate over 50% of the contents of the unit to thrift store and matrial reuse centers.
Hailey's Moving Predicament
Thinking ahead, Hailey ordered a bunch of furniture to her new home. She was moving from California to Colorado for a new career and was excited to furnish her new place. After unpacking and setting everything up she realized just how much cardboard and foam packaging there was. She contacted FAJ Junk Removal to remove the materials while she was at work. 90% of the materials went to the recycler and only the foam and plastic bits had to be sent to the landfill.
Annie's Storage Unit
After making several attempts to contact the owner of a storage unit at her property, Annie had to declare the unit abandoned. She hired FAJ to take care of the clean out and salvage as many usable and recyclable goods as possible. Unfortunately, not every junk removal job ends with most items being recycled. 80% of this unit landed at the landfill after being inspected and assessed by our team. All metal items and e-waste were separated and properly recycled and the shopping cart was returned to it's corral at the store it belonged to.
Lupita's Storage Units
Lupita was preparing to downsize and move across the country. She had put off going through her storage unit until the very end because the task felt too daunting. She knew there wasn't anything she wanted to keep in there since it had just been an overflow storage area, untouched for years, but was overwhelmed by the amount of stuff which had accumulated there. She contacted FAJ to do the clean out so she could feel good knowing not everything would go to the landfill. About 30% of Lupita's storage unit was able to be donated to thrift stores. another 30% was recycled or scrapped, leaving only 40% which had to go to the landfill.
Julia's Tenants
Julia's tenants moved out in a hurry and left so much behind. She needed to prepare the unit for the next tenants quickly so she contacted FAJ Junk Removal to have the space cleared out. We were able to fit Julia in as a next day appointment and have the space debris-free by noon. A lot of the items left behind were cardboard and other recyclables in addition to some metal furniture which was delivered to the scrap yard. Overall only about 10% of the items went to the landfill!
